Manchester pathfinder visioning day 30 January
2012
Manchester held a visioning day to start
their pathfinder work and agree priorities.
The day was attended by a wide range of stakeholders including
parents, schools, colleges, health, social care, children and
adults, and employment. The day set out what they needed to do,
what they had learnt from previous good work around Preparing for
Adulthood such as Getting a Life, and identified priorities for
their pathfinder work.
Manchester's pathfinder governance
structure.
Videos from the day:
Julie Hicklin, pathfinder lead, explains what the Manchester
pathfinder site will be doing over the next few years and describes
the Visioning Day that they held on the 30.1.12.
Ann Tarpey, parent, talks about how her involvement with Getting a
Life changed her outlook for her son Dominic's future and how
raising aspirations needs to be built into the work of the
Manchester pathfinder.
Laura Upton describes how person centred planning needs to be the
foundation for developing the new single assessment, education,
health and care plan and how they will be supporting local agencies
through their work as a pathfinder.
Mark Burton reflects on what Manchester learnt and achieved
thorough their work on Getting a Life, person centred transition
planning and Project Search and highlights the next steps for that
the pathfinder needs to take.
